Beach Water Quality Update

Results from resampling are still elevated so, as of 7/10/25, so a swimming advisory will remain at West Beach through the weekend. A sampling will occur as usual on Monday morning.

A swim advisory from the Ledge Light Health District is a warning urging people to avoid swimming at a specific beach because routine water testing has shown elevated levels of bacteria (like enterococci in marine water) above Connecticut’s safety thresholds.
