Rules and Regulations Reminders for a Great 4th of July Weekend for all

Dear GNBA Neighbors, 

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT HOLIDAY MESSAGE FROM THE BOG.

As we approach the 4th of July, the Board of Governors thought it appropriate to provide an update on security plans and a review of key regulations for our community. 

This year, we will be collaborating with Giants Neck Heights and the East Lyme Police Department to ensure the safety of our community members. 

Key regulations for our residents, friends, and tenants: 

1) By Connecticut state law, all fireworks that explode or leave the ground are strictly illegal for the general public. East Lyme Police will be patrolling both neighborhoods throughout the holiday weekend. 

2) Parking is prohibited on all GNBA roads. Golf carts are not permitted in our community. Please observe the 20 mph speed limit, one-way roads, and stop signs. 

3) The following are PROHIBITED on our beaches: glass containers, smoking, fires, and sleeping/swimming/gathering from 10 pm to 6 am. 

4) All animals must be either contained on their property or leashed at all times. Pets are not allowed on Association beaches between May 1 and October 1.

Association Members are responsible for ensuring that their families, guests, and tenants comply with all such bylaws and regulations.
